I too have always wondered why MSN searches were not higher since it is the default on most PCs out of the box. Everyone I know over 50 with a computer does not change it and yet they do use the internet daily as the younger gens do. The line between “safe” and “unsafe” blurs on almost a daily basis. However, I’m not entirely sure all blame should be placed on Microsoft - “parental control” starts with the parents utilizing better education/tools on their own local PCs, or in their homes. Regardless, Microsoft has clearly lowered the bar on what constitutes graphic with respect to their own engine’s filtering mechanism …

I’m faring better under Bing than I was under Live or MSN Search.

The SEO clients I promote are ranking much better now that it’s Bing… and I too am not sure why (but I like it:)

Well I have played around with Bing for a while, and honestly it is not so different from MSN, or any better. Bing is not Google, it is probably because it can never be.

It does look like Microsoft has resolved this with their content filter which is set to Moderate by default. The filter has levels of filtering; Strict, Moderate and Off. Strict - Filter sexually explicit text, images, and videos from your search results. Moderate - Filter sexually explicit images and videos, but not text, from your search results. Wait. I may have been misinformed in my previous comment. I think the theme was already changed. So yes, I like this one. I was not so sure about how you did the article topics at the top, but it’s growing on me. I haven’t seen that done before. Props.
