BANS is a pretty cool template but didn’t Google slap them big time quite some time back? Then again, once you get enough legit backlinks there’s not a great deal they can do about it! Like you said, they’re easy to build and it’s pretty simply to import your desired product list. Oh, and there’s a great range of skins out there both free and paid.

@James – Yes, Google did do a slapdown several months ago, but I think it was mostly because people were creating crap BANS sites all over the place. It’s easy enough to just set one up without much effort and then just let it run. The key, as the guide explains, is to set up quality sites with good and unique content so they have value and aren’t just a waste of Internet real estate.
It only seems right when you write a post promoting something, to be honest about it. It really is a cool product, and I’m excited about how they explain the creation of sites using BANS, phpBay, and WordPress together. I’m going to upgrade the sites I have using the guide as my guide (I’m feeling a little redundant this evening!).

Promoting products that are no good is a short-cut to blogging suicide. It’s a good thing you don’t do this.

Affiliate marketing is the most feasible method. You can set up sites by using free sources such as Squidoo and Blogger and post links to products that you affiliate with. Sites like clickbank allow you to get paid by referring traffic to digital products created by others on the internet.
I have never really gotten into that type of affiliate marketing. I know some people do extremely well.
These kind of products are IMO a good option to rest a little from the Search Engines changes,
slaps, and algos. The problem with affiliates is that many times we are involved with just
a few industry options and we forget other profitable niches such as this BANS offer.
The problem with quality products like this is that you make it TOOOO easy. If anybody can do it easily, we get flooded with a world of crap products. It muddies the waters for those of us with quality stuff. No mater how easy you make it…the pressure is still on for the true “marketeer” to excell.
