Bing Bang…

20 July 2009 41 Comments

image I know, I have to get off the Bing thing. But Microsoft keeps leaving itself wide open…

The New York Times reports that, unlike Google banning the word “googled” as a verb, Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer hopes people will “bing” a new restaurant to find its address or “bing” a new job applicant for telling events in his past.

Sooo, if a guy bings you today, tomorrow can he say…

"he banged you yesterday."

Once again you’ve told the truth and made me laugh! I’ll take a job in the stupid product name department at Microsoft! I have plenty of ideas! Of course, they do have you talking, and you know what they say about publicity. I just don’t see me giving up the Google any time soon.

Yeah… Google thinks they can ban anyone from using there name as a verb… it is already a verb.
Bing does have a great photo search engine … spent quite a bit of time there one day and was really impressed…

YooooHooo… love it…. more cool things added to the candy jar everyday!

Thanks for this one, Trudy :)

“…unlike Google banning the word “googled” as a verb…”

Why would Google ban the use of this word when this is a clear sign that it has become a household name?

“Sooo, if a guy bings you today, tomorrow can he say…
    “he banged you yesterday.”

Hilariously funny but I do hope this doesn’t get carried on to normal everyday conversations.

Liked the punchline. By the way, what is bing’s edge over google? Or is there? Why all the hype?

  • Seo Diva (author) said:

Not so sure it has an edge – time will tell. Now that they’re hooked up with Yahoo we’ll see what, if anything, happens.

  • Seo Diva (author) said:

LOL. Yes, it will be interesting…Google will still be the big gorilla though.

  • Seo Diva (author) said:

Yeah, I was really surprised by that.

Funny, but you have a point there. Anyway, Google should be pleased that people used it as a verb and created a past tense of it.
