Conficker Eye Chart
Since Conficker didn’t fire on April 1st, people are forgetting that the estimated 9 million to 15 million Windows PCs infected with Conficker virus are still a serious online security threat.
From Cnet Download:
So if you don’t want your computer unwittingly sending spam, participating in denial-of-service attacks, or infiltrating other PCs to steal sensitive data, there’s no better time than the present to detect and remove Conficker.
Joe Stewart from SecureWorks has put together an effective “eye chart” that sources its graphics from sites that Conficker would block. If you can’t see one or more of the images, you’re either infected, or image loading in your browser has been disabled.
Below is a screenshot of the chart diagnostics:
Take a minute and go over to check the eye chart – it’s any easy way to help determine if your PC is infected.

Thanx for sharing this very useful piece of info about this ruthless virus. You DO post stuff that really matters.

@Seo Link Directories – I try to! Glad it’s not infected. I don’t who the millions are that have infected PC’s but I haven’t come across one yet.
I’ve never heard about such virus! Thanksfor warning. I’d better check my computer, hope, it’s clean
This eye chat is a great thing! Thanks for sharing!
Not necessarily related to Conficker, but I have been having problems with people putting viruses on a couple of my websites. I’m not sure exactly how they did it, but I received a call from a client that they had blocked a virus that came from one of my websites. I investigated the problem and sure enough, there was a virus attached to my website that had attacked a clients computer. I was unable to located the virus via ftp, so I ended up deleting all of the files in the ftp and reloading them from my computer. I solved the issue for now, but how does one protect against this in the future?

Great share. If only it was as easy as seeing if images were blocked for all viruses. I really liked the visual idea.
Very nice & great info
Thank you

Good thing I was able to read this article. My PC feels a lot safer now knowing that SecureWorks came out with this “eye chart”.
Thanks for the info. I checked out that chart and I’m glad to say I’m not infected!
Yeah that was a cool virus check. It doesn’t assure me much, but it was cool nonetheless.
Ryan, I had a similar thing happen on some of my websites. It seems hackers have targeted shared servers that have any folders with open write permissions. I’ve been tempted to move all of my websites to their own dedicated server so that they are less of a target.
My computer is infected. I have cleaned it over and over. But it seems to never go away. Can anybody suggest me a ‘good’ anti virus that really kills it.
I have never heard about this virus. Thanks for knowledge about this virus now i will take care of this.
