Sweet contest…any decent SEO should have lots of stories about idiots telling them how important the meta tags are or something dumb. Thanks for letting us know.

We’re going to update the contest page and make the 22nd the final date for entries so we can get closer (or eclipse) the “50 entries” we were shooting for. There are some great entries, but there’s still room for someone to submit that winning story.

If you have a story to tell, please do submit it!

Stupid SEO tricks…Such contests can make a mockery of SEO firms…

Lots of stupidities around for sure. SEO is not really that difficult, but mostly requires a lot of work. Still, there are loads of people out there that think that it is just a quick fix.

I won’t submit any stories myself, but will be on the lookout for some really stupid stupidities to describe in my own blog again.

I was once hired to submit each page of a 5000 page site on each day to Google. Manually! My employer heard that that was the technique that the competition used…. hahaha

This is something what you can really rely on…! Since long time I look here at regular intervals and read the interesting and well written contributions. Its really appreciating.

My tip: Have several pages of articles related to your website’s topic. Use a different keyword search term for each article. For instance, one article might use frequently the term “safe car for girl”, while another might use the term “girl safety”.
