Has Entrecard Worked For Me?

Entrecard for more traffic Entrecard has been a real boon to my blogs. So my answer is an unqualified yes! To some degree.

For established sites, it has brought a lot more traffic, more comments, and more subscribers.

A couple of new sites have gotten a nice kick in the pants with traffic, which can be hard to get when a site first starts out. However, Entrecard decided to ban them because I was selling things on them, which I find interesting since I don’t think one blog on there isn’t selling something, and some look like mini-malls.

Since I had several sites to promote, and not enough time to spend visiting other sites and dropping my card, I spent $50 for 5,000 credits, enabling me to advertise on high traffic blogs right away. This has paid off since you get more credits for clicks received on an ad, and I’ve received quite a few credits from those high volume sites. However, Entrecard stole took over 5,500 credits away from me. I’ve requested a refund.

I’ve encountered a few glitches, but a very nice (and patient) tech support guy named Ben has been helpful in ironing out the problems. Ben decided to ban me, so I’m not a fan of his anymore.

If you haven’t tried Entrecard, you may want to watch the video below and read my previous post Choose Entrecard for Great Traffic. Put the widget on your blog, work the program, and watch your stats for a week. By the end of that week, I think you’ll be surprised at the traffic you’ve received, along with some nice comments on your blog, too. That is, if Ben doesn’t ban your site.

After you’ve given Entrecard your week-long trial, I’d love it if you came back to let me know how it worked for you.

Seems that Entrecard works well for many people. Can you tell us how are your ratios own drops/dropped cards?

Do you have any idea what you did to get banned, or was it just an arbitrary choice?

Hey Diva…I also checked a lot of the sites on the list and pretty much all of them were selling something. That’s strange you’ve been banned and I hope I don’t get knocked off for that. That seems too strange..

Cheap clicks from _real_ people directed from a related site are _always_ welcome.

I never tried Entre Card at all. i simply don’t like the system as it takes so much of my time that I’d rather spend learning more about affiliate marketing and so on. Just doesn’t work for me.

I was glad to see this; I’ve been considering entrecard for a while but it just seemed so hoky. I’ll give it a shot for a week and see how it pans out, thanks!

Oops, got way behind on these comments! Here I go…

@olly - I would guess at least 25 new subscribers. And hey - thanks for voting for me!

@Eliot - I can’t give you ratios at this point, as I haven’t kept up with dropping like I should.

@Chris - I didn’t do anything, Ben just didn’t like my sites. He felt they were too commercial. He had a good point on one of them, which I’m changing. I didn’t like it that he called them “sales pages” though, because I offer a lot of good content on all my sites.

@Link Building Blog - yeah, they’re going to have to come up with clearer guidelines. Stay under the radar - don’t email customer support!

    @TigerTom - I think so too.

@salman raza - basically it brought my sites to the attention of people who otherwise may not ever have found it. It also increased traffic a lot.

@nfl power rankings - glad to hear it’s working for you.

@hledaj - they have a lot of blogs to go through, and if they ban the more commercial ones, they’ll have a fraction of what the started with!

@Barry - I thought it was hoky too, but I think it’s especially helpful to get a new blog rolling.

Why does Ben think it’s wrong to sell something from your site? Usually the sites that sell something have more information to offer than some kid’s blog that just talks about his favorite bands or shows, etc..

@Videos - that’s good, I can see where it would work well for you.

@kermit johnson - I know what you’re saying. The sites of mine he doesn’t like are selling certain products; nevertheless I also include a LOT of good information in them, not just sales info. A lot of the blogs on Entrecard are “pinay” blogs
