Luv Luv Me Do

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

image Happily I’ve been able to upgrade my Sandbox theme, and as a result can now upgrade my WordPress plugins and add some I couldn’t use before. One of these is Comment Luv.

Comment Luv is a nice way to thank a visitor for leaving a comment on your blog by automatically listing the most recent blog post for their blog, with a link to the article.

I have to admit I luv this plugin, and when I’m thinking about commenting on another blog, if I see that they have Comment Luv activated it will tip me right over the edge. I also tend to put a little more thought into my comment - after all, I’d like for people to be interested enough to then visit my blog.

Try it it out - leave a comment here and see your most recent blog post appear below it. If it doesn’t work for you, be sure to let me know.

    @Busby SEO - looks good!
    @Bill - I had to tweak something to make it work for you, but now your blog post shows. It seems to take longer to retrieve a blogspot post.

    I too am a CL luver! It’s true. My own readership and comments on my blogs have skyrocketed since I’ve been commenting on blogs with the plugin.

    This is another reason to make sure your post titles are spiffy ;)

    While this WordPress plugin can do wonders for blog traffic, it also has it’s drawbacks. I’ve had countless friends tell me that their spam comments have at least increased 500%!

    I think I recall reading somewhere that the developers of Comment Luv are developing an upgrade that would address the spam issue. I think that would really help with the blogs that have been hit hard by spammers just trying to accumulate links, and not really contributing anything to the post. You see them all over the Comment Luv blogs: ‘Nice Post!’

    Well, good luck with your plugin! Hopefully you won’t be drowning in spammy comments.
