How do you optimize for long tail?
Content. This may seem counter to my previous posts, but it’s not. Content is not the be-all and end-all (i.e. King) of SEO, but it does have an important place in search engine optimization.
It all works together…don’t ignore one facet of optimization for another. Onsite, offsite, off we go…

*Update: Brian from Beu Blog contacted me to let me know about this additional info from Matt Cutts:
…if you had queries from the last month or so, 20-25% of queries the next day would be new/unique. It also depends a little bit about whether you’re defining it only as web queries, or all queries to Google (e.g. blog search, book search, patent search, etc.).”

Thanks for the post, my friend Philipp Lenssen over at Google Blogoscoped pointed out an important issue needing to be made more clear in my original post. So, I just wanted to let you know I’ve posted an update…
Thanks again,
Brian
Thanks for the update, Brian!
