I follow Black Hats and consider myself some shade of gray. Any SEO who refuses to learn about BH methods is hindering themselves. You don't have the knowledge, but the BH SEOs tend to have a deeper understanding of SEO than White Hats. They also seem to have a deeper technical understanding of things like programming.
